A patient who had been placed in isolation at a Belleville hospital has tested negative for Ebola.
The man had gone to the hospital early Monday morning and explained to staff that he wasn't feeling well. He also explained that he had just returned from a trip overseas that included a stop in Sierra Leone, one of the West African countries known to be dealing with the deadly disease.
Blood samples were taken and rushed to be tested at the National Microbiology Lab in Winnipeg.
The results were released late Tuesday night.
On Monday, results for a patient who had been in isolation in Ottawa also came back negative for Ebola.
