A 59-year-old man is facing child luring and child pornography charges after Ottawa Police were tipped off by the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre and Google.
Police were first contacted here in November after the NCECC conducted a covert online child exploitation investigation in a public chat room.
In November, officers received a report from Google indicating someone using a recognized email address had uploaded images of child porn
The Ottawa Police Ice Unit tracked an IP to an address on Banner Road in the west end.
Alain Courchesne faces charges of child luring, along with possessing and distributing child porn.
Police have issued a warning, alleging Courchense used an online handle of "bi daddy" and the email address "gastoncourchesne@gmail.com" in attempts to lure children.
They're asking anyone wishing to come forward with a complaint to call the Internet Child Exploitation Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5466.
