Ottawa Police handed out 294 tickets to drivers in school zones this week.
Police were out in force for the first week back to class for students across the city.
They were looking for speeding, failing to stop at school crossings or for school buses, failing to obey crossing guards, and distracted driving.
Ottawa Police Constables Phil Kane and Jon Hall spent some of the week tweeting about the blitz, including pointing out a few examples.
