It took Ottawa fire fighters a couple hours to put out a blaze in Barrhaven tonight.
The back deck of a home near Claridge and Totteridge went up in flames at about 4:45pm.
The fire quickly spread to the back of the house and attic.
The fire was finally put out at about 6:50pm.
At least three units at 244 Claridge are uninhabitable right now, with up to 15 people being displaced.
Ottawa Fire says about one million dollars in damage occurred.
No one was injured and a cause of the blaze has yet to be determined.
