An 8-year-old beagle, left alone in the wilderness after being shot in the head, will undergo lifesaving surgery at the Ottawa Humane Society.
The dog named Sadie Mae by OHS staff, was found wandering alone on a trail in Carp last weekend.
The Humane Society says she has extensive injuries to her left eye and ear and will need surgery to reconstruct her skull.
That surgery comes at a cost of $6,780 and the OHS is trying to raise the money through their website.
The Humane Society says Sadie Mae will be put up for adoption when she’s well enough.
