After a rash of violence in Bells Corners, a public meeting will be held on Monday night to discuss creating a Neighbourhood Watch program.
The meeting will also include an information session on crime prevention and aims to bring the community together.
Last week, the Jami Omar mosque was the target of vandals. Posters featuring photos of Hitler and hateful messages were plastered on the walls and door of the building on Old Richmond Road.
On January 17, teenager Nick Hickey was struck and killed while walking along Seyton Drive. The alleged driver, Guillermo Escobedo-Hoyo is facing second-degree murder charges.
Then less than a week later, shell casings were found after an early morning shooting.
The meeting is being held at Franco-Ouest on Seyton Drive from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
