A Canada Post building caught fire early Saturday morning, leaving behind more than $500,000 in damages.
Ottawa Fire Services was called to a four-storey commercial building at 720 Heron Road around 6:30 a.m.
Fire fighters say flames were visible from the first floor and smoke from the second.
The blaze was under control within an hour.
Ottawa fire says no one was inside the building at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
An Ottawa Fire Services Investigator is responding to the scene.
Media Relations for Canada Post, Phil Legault, thanked emergency service officials for their quick response and said the fire will not impact postal service.
