The Ottawa Senators have cut down on the number of seats at Canadian Tire Centre.
President Tom Anselmi revealed during a tour of the arena today that 1,500 seats have been removed.
He says it's to "right size" the building.
The capacity of the CTC is now about 17,000 for hockey.
The team's failure to sell out multiple playoff games last spring drew national attention.
That includes the Sens' final home game during the post-season; there were about a hundred empty seats during a 2-1 win over Pittsburgh.
Many possible factors were discussed when it came to the team's struggles to sell out during their deep playoff run.
They included Phoenix pay troubles, conflict of interest rules and the trip to Kanata itself.
