Firefighters were called to the intersection of Fallowfield Rd. and Munster Rd. at around 6:30 a.m. The driver the carrier was able to escape safely.
However, Ottawa Fire sector chief Todd Horricks says on Twitter the truck’s saddle tank was compromised in the fire. Police had to close the road for the clean-up.
