Ottawa Police have charged a man and a woman in connection with a gunpoint robbery in Sandy Hill.
Police say a man and woman were walking through the park near the Sandy Hill Community Centre around 10:30 p.m. Sunday when they were approached by the suspects.
The male suspect pulled out a gun, pointed it at the victims and demanded their phones.
Police say the suspects ran, but officers were able to find them along Wiggins Private, where they seized a pellet gun.
25-year-old Ashley Meneses-Lopes and 30-year-old Yassin Samatar are both charged with two counts of robbery with an offensive weapon, conspiracy, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and pointing a firearm among other offences.
