A child porn investigation that began in Barrie has ended with an arrest in Ottawa.
The investigation, which began in May 2016, focused on an IP address believed to be sharing photos of child sexual abuse over a peer-to-peer network. Investigators believed the IP address was based in Barrie, but it was eventually traced to Ottawa.
Ottawa Police executed a search warrant Wednesday on Heatherington Road and arrested one man.
55-year-old Marc St-Germain is facing three counts of possession of child pornography and one count of making it available.
He will appear in court on Thursday.
