The City's $58 million project to widen Greenbank Road between Malvern Drive and Strandherd Drive has been completed.
That section of Greenbank is now a four-lane road, divided by a central median.
Bike lanes have been added, and drivers will now travel underneath the railway tracks, instead of at a level crossing.
Mayor Jim Watson says growth in Barrhaven made a widening of Greenbank necessary.
