The Ottawa 67's have announced the resignation of head coach and general manager Jeff Brown.
"The move back to Ottawa has been difficult at times for my family," said Brown in a written statement issued by OSEG. "It's time I put them first and became a full-time father as we transition back to our hometown of St. Louis."
Brown had a rough season behind the bench.
In October he apologized after roughly grabbing a player during a game.
A month later he temporarily stepped away from his coaching role due to health issues.
During the OHL playoffs, Brown received an automatic suspension after one of his players left the bench to start a fight.
No replacement has been named, but OSEG President Jeff Hunt expects to hire a new General Manager before searching for a new coach.
