Ottawa Fury's 2019 season could be in jeopardy.
CONCACAF, FIFA's governing body for North American soccer, is seeking to prevent the Fury from playing in next year's USL season.
The move comes despite Canada Soccer's and the U-S Soccer Federation's approval to play in the USL for next year.
No further details on the decision have been provided.
OSEG CEO Mark Goudie says he has requested that CONCACAF provide basis for their decision.
The move could be motivated by the want for Ottawa to join the new Canadian Premier League beginning in 2019.
A league that was chiefly promoted by current CONCACAF President, and former Canada Soccer President, Victor Montagliani.
