A large fire broke out at an industrial plaza in the east end on Canotek Rd. around 1:30 a.m. Thursday.
Ottawa Fire crews confirmed the blaze started in an auto detailing buinsess in a multi-unit commercial structure.
They had the fire under control just before 2:00 a.m., but not before the fire spread to six other businesses in the plaza.
Ottawa Police, paramedics, Enbridge Gas, and Ottawa Hydro all responded to the blaze.
The damages to the businesses have been pegged at $400,000.
The Ottawa Police Arson Unit is investigating.
