It’s the back-half of the twice-a-year tradition: changing the clocks.
We “fall back” this weekend. Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday at 2:00 a.m., meaning most people get an extra hour of sleep.
Clocks will then “March forward” again Sunday, March 10, 2019.
Most devices like computers and smartphones will automatically update, but some things will still need to be changed manually.
This is also a good time of year to check or replace the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.
Winter officially arrives at 5:23 p.m. ET Friday, December 21.
