A family of five has been displaced after a fire spread from their gazebo to their Orléans home.
Ottawa Firefighters were called to 303 Reynolds Drive at 1:29 p.m. Thursday.
Firefighters say the fire had already spread to the home by the time they arrived. They also had to deal with an additional danger: a live hydro wire had been downed nearby.
The gazebo fire was extinguished in roughly six minutes, but the fire in the home, which was burning in the attic and through the roof, wasn't under control until 2:25 p.m.
No one was reported hurt.
The Salvation Army and the Red Cross are assisting the two adults and three children who were displaced.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
