More than 15,000 Ottawa residents turned out to special advance polls this week, according to Elections Ottawa.
Out of these votes, just over 5,000 were cast on Thursday, with just over 1,100 cast at the Francois Dupuis Recreation Centre in Orleans.
All the ballots are collected on memory cards, then uploaded to a server.
Ottawans have a chance to vote in advance again on October 12 or on October 22, which is this city's official voting day.
