New numbers released from Ottawa Fire show the city's firefighters responded to 212 calls on April 16, the day of Ottawa's worst ice storm in 20 years.
Ottawa Fire responds to an average of 60 calls a day, which can vary depending on the weather.
From midnight on April 16 to midnight on April 17, the Ottawa Fire Service responded to almost 9 calls an hour.
The number of calls for the same day in 2017 was 45 and 59 in 2016.
One of the incidents Ottawa Fire responded to on Monday was a house fire on Snowberry Way in Stittsville, which resulted in the hospitalization of two firefighters.
Fire Chief Gerry Pingitore says the firefighter who had to be intubated is recovering.
