Four men are now facing charges in connection with a series of "24 Hour Challenge" videos.
Ottawa Police say they received reports of incidents at various businesses, between October 17th and the 22nd, which involved people saying inside after the businesses had closed for the night. Businesses included the Merivale Bowling Centre and TD Place Stadium. A further incident, reported to police earlier in November, in which individuals appeared to break into a stranger's home was proven to have been staged.
The suspects posted their movements on YouTube - calling it the "24 Hour Challenge."
26-year-old Jason Ethier - also known as JayStation - has been charged with five counts of trespassing. 18-year-old Hamzah Faraj and 18-year-old Olyad Motuma are each facing two counts of trespassing and 20-year-old Adam Morgan has been charged with one count of trespassing.
All four are expected in court on December 9th.
Ethier had told CTV Ottawa earlier this month he had intended to quit making the videos, but he was "getting rich" off of the payments he was receiving from YouTube for views and advertising.
