Friends and family gathered at the Bibleway Ministries in Nepean on Saturday to say goodbye to two sisters killed in a crash on December 9th.
Elizabeth Muzaliwa, 18, and Rahema Muzaliwa, 16, died instantly when their car collided with a dumptruck on Mitch Owens at Manotick Station Road.
Their mother, Bernadette Muzaliwa, was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The sisters were well known at the Tim Hortons on Prince of Wales and Hunt Club where they both worked.
They are being remembered as being kind and generous.
The Muzaliwa family has dealt with tragedy in the past, as the girl's brother David was struck by a car in 2014 while out for a run.
Bernadette was forced to leave her job at the same Tim Hortons to help care for him.
Now, her husband and their father, Kayamba Muzaliwa is taking time off work as a truck driver to care for his wife, son and deal with the loss of his daughters.
Fellow employees at Tim Hortons have started a Go Fund Me campaign to help support the family as they deal with their grief.
