Quebec's police watchdog says the Gatineau woman involved in an incident with police on Tuesday night died in hospital late Wednesday night.
Police were called to an apartment on Rue Charles Albanel for reports of excessive noise and cries.
According to B-E-I Quebec, Gatineau police officers forced open the door when no one responded, then faced what they said was an agitated and delirious woman who had hit her head.
The 34 year old woman's condition worsened as she was handcuffed by police, and she was rushed to hospital.
The watchdog agency continues to investigate the incident and did not released her cause of death.
