Tragically Hip frontman Gord Downie is set to play a show at the NAC next month.
The October 18th concert is one of two solo shows for Downie, who is promoting his solo project "Secret Path."
The album is accompanied by a graphic album and an animated film that is inspired by the story of a First Nations boy who died in 1966 after running away from a Residential School near Kenora, Ont.
Downie will also play a concert in Toronto on October 21st.
The concerts come roughly two months after the Tragically Hip wrapped up its "Man Machine Poem" tour in Kingston. The tour is expected to be the iconic band's last, after Downie revealed in May that he has terminal brain cancer.
Tickets for the October 18th show go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. All proceeds from "Secret Path" will go to the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation at the University of Manitoba.
