Handguns, drugs seized in Kanata search

Police found two guns, three stun batons, and a quantity of cocaine.
Ottawa Police say a 24-year-old man is facing a variety of charges after police found several weapons and drugs while executing a search warrant in Kanata.
Police searched a home on Streamside Cres. Thursday, seizing two 9mm handguns, ammunition, three stun batons, and a bulletproof vest. Police say they also found a quantity of cash and of cocaine.
Reyan Abdulkader is facing a slew of charges in this case.

Police say Abdulkader was on court-imposed release conditions for drug charges from January 2017 at the time of his arrest.
He will be in court to face these new charges Friday.
