An Ottawa chapter of the Hells Angels has been shut down, and police are trying to find out why.
It was less than two months ago that hundreds of members of the biker gang were in Carlsbad Springs for a mandatory annual gathering.
Now OPP Detective Staff Sergeant Len Isnor tells CFRA the Nomads chapter - considered "elite" - has been closed.
He's traveling to Ottawa to learn more.
Police monitored the Hells Angels' Canada Run in late July very closely, adopting a "zero tolerance" policy.
The Toronto Star quotes a biker source saying the gathering was considered "dull."
