Canada’s oldest railway tunnel has been vandalized in Brockville.
The Brockville Railway Tunnel officially opened on Saturday as part of the “Rails to Trails” Festival.
Now, Brockville Police says there has been some recent vandalism in the downtown area, including a small one in the new railway tunnel.
There is also some vandalism on city buildings downtown along the waterfront and Brock Trail.
Police say they’re hoping someone recognizes the “tag” and will contact them.
The Brockville Railway Tunnel opened on Saturday after two years of tunnel restoration. A Phillips Architectural Lighting System highlights the beauty of the tunnel and transforms it into a stunning visual walkway. The Phillips Light Show will run 365 days a year.
