We may think that gas prices go up on holiday weekends during the good weather - but not this May long weekend.
Dan McTeague, senior analyst from Gas Buddy, tells News and Views with Rob Snow that drivers should hold off fuelling up, because prices are expected to drop right through the long weekend in the Capital area.
"We could see prices drop over the weekend - they usually do with retailers," McTeague said.
"As we head past six o'clock Friday evening, you will see stations drop gas prices by as much as eight or nine cents a liter,"
McTeage admitted that the price of gas was cheaper a year ago, but added that's because the value of our dollar was higher then against the American currency.
