Erik Karlsson is still an Ottawa Senator, at least for now.
The Sens didn't make a deal with another team before Monday's 3 p.m. trade deadline, meaning Karlsson will stay in Ottawa until the end of the 2017-2018 season.
It had been widely reported for days the 27-year-old captain was on the trading block as the Sens have been dealing with turmoil both on and off the ice all season.
Ottawa did trade Ian Cole to the Columbus Blue Jackets only days after acquiring him from Pittsburgh. Johnny Oduya has been picked up by the Philadelphia Flyers on waivers.
