Police in Quebec say a 47-year-old woman has been arrested after picking up her child from daycare while impaired.
MRC Des Collines say a La Peche woman went to pick up her 5-year-old child from Wakefield Elementary School's daycare program around 6:00 p.m. Friday.
They say other people in the building tried to dissuade the woman from leaving by car with her child, but to no avail.
Police later arrested her at home for driving while impaired by alcohol. She was taken to the police station where she took a breathalyzer test that showed her blood alcohol level at 3 times the legal limit.
Her driver's license has been suspended for 90 days, and her vehicle seized for 30.
