Old Man Winter is set to roar back into the National Capital Region.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Ottawa and Gatineau, calling for "significant snowfall" Monday and Tuesday.
Meteorologist Arnold Ashton says a strong low pressure system will move into Eastern Ontario Monday night, bringing heavy snow.
Snowfall amounts could exceed 15 centimetres by the time the storm ends Tuesday night. Drivers are being told the storm will impact travel across the region starting tomorrow night.
Ashton says "it's not going to be the worst snowstorm of the winter."
The forecast calls for temperatures to gradually fall back down to seasonal by next weekend. Normal temperatures for this time of year are highs of -6C and lows of -16C.
