OPP say a lost dog "turned himself in" at the Pembroke detachment this week.
On Tuesday morning, police say a thirsty dog was seen wandering on station property.
They jokingly say the dog named Brody was "taken into custody" and provided with food and water.
The officers found contact information on Brody's collar and learned his owners were away.
He had been left with a dog sitter about three kilometres from the detachment.
Brody was "released from custody" and returned to the dog sitter by the afternoon.
