A 19-year-old man, wanted on a charge of attempted murder, has been arrested after Blossom Park residents reported thefts from their cars.
Ottawa Police were called to Olympic Way around 1:30 a.m. Thursday. Upon arrival, police say they found two men matching 911 caller descriptions in and around a vehicle. The suspects fled on foot after police addressed them. One man was chased a short distance and arrested without incident. The second man was tracked to a backyard with the help of K9 officers and arrested, also without incident.
Keluntung "Kel" Samura (pictured above) is facing several charges including trespassing at night, possession of property obtained by crime and carrying a concealed weapon.
Samura was wanted in connection with a January 6 stabbing on Spruce Street, which left a man with serious injuries. Ottawa Police say Samura has now been formally charged in that investigation as well, facing the following counts:
The second suspect in the theft investigation, Anthony Noel Stoner, 23, is facing charges that include uttering threats, carrying a concealed weapon, trespassing at night, and possession of property obtained by crime.
