Just a day after navigating flooded roadways and icy sidewalks, a new winter travel challenge approaches.
Environment Canada has issued a “weather advisory” about a veritable sample platter of wintry conditions in the forecast.
“Snow or ice pellets are expected to begin over the area early this afternoon. There is also the risk of freezing drizzle today,” the advisory says.
The snowfall total isn’t expected to be much more than 2 to 4 cm before it changes to freezing drizzle Wednesday evening.
And with a word of even more to come, Environment Canada says, “Freezing drizzle is expected to continue overnight and most of Thursday. Freezing drizzle advisories may be required.”
The temperature is expected to rise to 0°C Thursday afternoon and stay there until late Friday night.
