Ottawa Fire crews are on the scene of a blaze in a unit at 21 Preston Street.
They received a 911 call reporting heavy smoke coming from the unit just after 10:30 p.m. Friday.
The fire allegedly started in the kitchen and spread to the second floor of a row home unit.
A fire investigator is reporting to the scene. Victim's services, including the Red Cross and the Salvation Army are assisting occupants.
No injuries were reported.
There's no word yet on the cause of the blaze or the cost of the damages.
