Ontario Premier Doug Ford says the Kawartha Lakes constituency office of Labour Minister Laurie Scott was broken into Tuesday.
Last night in Kawartha Lakes, the constituency office of Minister of Labour Laurie Scott was broken into and vandalized. These actions have no place in our democracy. Thank you to the local police officers and the OPP, who are now investigating this very serious incident.

Ford’s office sent photos showing damage to the windows and doors of the office.
CTV’s Colin D’Mello report damage also included spray paint referencing the minimum wage.

The Premier says police are investigating.
The Tories announced Tuesday the minimum wage would be capped at $14 an hour until 2020 as part of a rollback of labour reforms introduced by the previous Liberal government.
The move was met with strong criticism from anti-poverty activists and organized labour who oppose the bill.
No arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified by police at this time.
