Ottawa Public Health says the flu has claimed at least one life so far this season.
A report, dated for the week of Nov. 7, says since September 1, 2018, there have been 12 lab-confirmed cases of influenza-A in Ottawa.
OPH says the median age of cases is 87.
One person over the age of 65 has died from influenza-related complications.
OPH is holding two more community flu shot clinics this month.
On Thursday, you'll be able to get a flu shot at Sacred Heart Catholic High School in Stittsville (5870 Abbott St. E.) from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
On Monday, the clinic will be held at Ottawa City Hall (110 Laurier Ave. W.) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
You can also get a flu shot at your health care provider's office or at local pharmacies.
