Several communities experienced serious problems with online voting in Monday's municipal elections.
Multiple municipalities experienced so many problems, they had to declare an election "emergency."
The municipalities of Pembrooke, Petawawa, and Renfrew had to declare the emergency status.
As a result, voting has been extended until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday across those municipalities.

All votes that were cast were counted, in no way was that ever in jeopardy.
Registered voters can cast their ballot in person or online until 8pm tonight.
Several other communities outside the region also experienced technical difficulties with online voting, and have also been been forced to extend voting until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
