Ottawa-Vanier will be heading to the polls to elect a new MPP next month.
The Ontario by-election to fill the seat vacated by Liberal Madeleine Meilleur will take place November 17.
Elections Ontario confirmed the date more than 20 minutes after Nepean-Carleton MPP Lisa MacLeod revealed it on Twitter.
Best wishes to @Ont_AndreMarin as he approaches Nov 17 by election in Ottawa Vanier.

PC candidate and former Ontario ombudsman Andre Marin also sent out a tweet with the November 17 date before the confirmation, then deleted it.
Ottawa-Vanier and its preceding riding Ottawa East have voted Liberal since 1971.
Nathalie Des Rosier will be carrying the red banner in the upcoming vote with Claude Bisson running for the NDP.
