Ontario Provincial Police have identified a man whose body was found in the Ottawa River on Saturday.
Last Thursday, police put out a call to help find a missing man, who had last been seen near Clarence-Rockland in a stolen boat.
The boat was found on Parker Island that day, but the man was not located. Police deployed aerial and underwater search teams to find him, but he was not located until a homeowner in Treadwell, in the Alfred-Plantagenet area, found his body Saturday afternoon.
The man has been identified as 34-year-old Benoit Franche, of Hawkesbury. An autopsy will be performed this week to determine the cause of death.
