Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a serious collision in Carleton Place, which had shut down a part of Highway 7.
Police say the crash happened just west of the intersection of Highways 7 and 15 early Friday evening.
Detours are in place. The Ministry of Transportation says westbound drivers follow Ashton Station Road to Cavannaugh to CR 29 to Townline. Eastbound drivers will take Townline to CR 29 to Cavannaugh to Ashton Station Road.
OPP say a female motorcyclist suffered critical injuries, but could not confirm the extent of those injuries. An Ornge air ambulance was called, but police say no one was transported using it.
This comes after two collisions on eastern Ontario highways at the start of the long weekend proved fatal.
People were killed in crashes on Highway 401 near Joyceville and Highway 17 near Mattawa.
Roads in those areas have since reopened.
