OTTAWA - Provincial police are hoping someone can help them identify a man who died after being seriously injured on Highway 417 near Pinecrest.
Police say the incident occurred on Aug. 12 at approximately 10:00 p.m. and the man was taken to hospital but later died from his injuries.
A sketch of the man was released in August, but the investigators say they haven't received any information that would help identify him.
Police say that led to what they called the "unique step" of releasing the disturbing photograph of the victim, taken after he died.
He is described as white, 25 to 35 years old, approximately 5-10, 200 pounds, with short reddish-brown hair and a goatee.
When he was found, the man was wearing a t-shirt, navy Fila shorts with red and white stripes and black Vans shoes, and had been riding a black and silver Louis Garneau mountain bike.
OPP say they've taken the rare step of releasing the photo of this man, who died after an incident on Hwy 417 on Aug. 12, 2018, in an effort to identify him.
