Ottawa Fire crews were called to Orleans for a house fire this afternoon.
Crews say they were called to 6075 Voyageur Drive near Jeanne D'Arc and Highway 174 for heavy brown smoke coming from the home.
Ottawa Fire say the blaze was out by 4:15pm.
No one was home at the time and no human injuries were reported, although the family pets did die in the fire.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause.
