Ottawa Fire responded to multiple 9-1-1 calls after reports of black smoke coming from a home at Annapolis Cir. just outside of McCarthy Rd.
The homeowners were not present at the time of the fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed smoke and flames coming out of the side of the home.
The fire was quickly brought under control, officially declared at around 8:40 p.m.
There are no reported injuries and an Ottawa Fire investigator has been sent to the scene to determine the cause.
