The Salvation Army and Red Cross were both on scene to provide aid to those displaced residents.
Ottawa Fire says that while the fire only occurred on the 21st floor, the 22nd and 23rd floors also sustained smoke damage.
Parademics say they assessed six residents at the scene for reasons such as smoke inhalation, shortness of breath, and general evacuation. Two patients were sent to hospital, but were in stable condition.
The cause of the fire and the cost of damages are unknown at this time.
