Clayton is currently in custody and will appear in show cause court on October 20th.
"This is yet another strong example of multiple investigative units working collaboratively to identify, locate and arrest an individual who was a threat to the safety and security of women in Ottawa," stated Sgt. Damien Laflamme, of the Human Trafficking Unit.
Police believe there are more victims and are asking them to come forward.
Anyone with information on the investigation is asked to call the Ottawa Police Human Trafficking Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5005 or by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
