An Ottawa man is facing charges after an alleged home invasion in Whitby.
Durham Regional Police allege the man and another suspect walked into the home of an elderly man, demanded money, then locked him in the basement.
They say the suspects fled in a car that was stopped a short time later, at which point officers arrested the Ottawa man.
Police say the second suspect managed to get away, adding they're actively searching for him.
