An Ottawa man tried on three charges for a 2014 robbery in west Ottawa, has had one charge dismissed, and was found not guilty on two others.
Max Hody stood trial for three days January 21st to 23rd 2019, connected to an August 2014 incident outside a fast food restaurant on Robertson Road.
Hody was found not guilty on charges of possession of a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.
The charge of robbery was dismissed.
A 23-year-old Ottawa man was charged in a 2014 violent west-end robbery after new evidence came to light according to Ottawa Police.
The robbery happened outside a fast food restaurant on Robertson Road in Bells Corners on Aug. 29, 2014. Police say the victim was approached by a male suspect who demanded the victim's cell phone.
The victim was then stabbed twice, sustainined non-life-threatening stomach and leg injuries, police said.
Police issued an arrest warrant for Max Hody, 23, and charged him with robbery, assault and possession of a weapon.
Hody is described as a thin white man, 5-foot-8 with hazel eyes and light brown hair.
