Ottawa's Amazon dreams have been crushed as the city was left off the list of top 20 finalists for HQ2 headquarters.
Toronto is the only Canadian city along with reported American favourites such as Boston, New York City, and Chicago.
The e-commerce giant received 238 applications for the opportunity and says narrowing it down to 20 was difficult.
It says it plans to make a final decision later this year.
Amazon plans to build a new five-billion dollar facility with the promise of 50,000 jobs.
Ottawa's bid was driven by Invest Ottawa which highlighted our highly educated workforce, high tech cluster, and quality of life.
