Ottawa Police are searching for an attempted murder suspect following a home invasion and stabbing last night.
Police say they were called to a home on the 300 block of Lafontaine Ave last night where two men broke in. Police say they assaulted a 25-year-old man, pistol whipping him and then stabbing him multiple times. They then stolen items from the house.
The victim was taken to hospital in life threatening condition.
23-year-old Samatar Said-Fahmi was arrested and charged later that night. He's facing the following charges:
* Attempted murder
* Breaking and Entering
* Robbery Using a Firearm
* Aggravated Assault
* Pointing a firearm x2
* Use Firearm in the commission of an offence
* Possession of a weapon x2
* Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence
* Possess firearm while prohibited
* Breach probation
But police are still looking for 19-year-old Andrew Carter. He's facing a number of charges as well:
* Attempted murder
* Breaking and Entering
* Robbery Using a Firearm
* Aggravated Assault
* Pointing a firearm x2
* Use Firearm in the commission of an offence
* Possession of a weapon x2
* Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence
* Fail to comply with conditions of judicial release x4
Carter is described as white, 5'8", 190lbs, with a fair complaextion and brown hair.
