Ottawa Firefighters were busy early Monday morning battling a three alarm blaze in Barrhaven.
Crews were called to Mancini Way at Chapman Mills around 3:30 a.m. after flames were spotted coming from the roof of a four-storey building under construction.
When they arrived a working fire was declared, which quickly became a three-alarm forcing them on a defensive attack.
Firefighters were able to keep it from spreading to nearby row homes and no one was injured.
The fire was under control just before 7 a.m. and damages are pegged at over $1 million.
The cause is under investigation by the Ottawa Police Arson Unit.
